Course description

Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam are playing an increasingly central role in Asian trade and investment networks, thanks to a growing web of free trade agreements, cost advantages and the global trend toward supply chain diversification. Turning that potential into real export contracts and investment projects, however, requires solid knowledge of markets, trade procedures, investment policy and logistics infrastructure.

The course has seven chapters, moving from an overview of trade and investment cooperation within CLMV, through market research, trade procedures and rules of origin, to investment promotion, logistics and trade facilitation, and cross-border e-commerce. Each chapter includes a video lecture, an in-depth reading and a short quiz to reinforce learning.

The content is practice-oriented, with implementation steps, summary tables of tools, and illustrative examples drawn from exporting businesses and trade and investment promotion agencies across the CLMV region.
