Monitoring flow variability in the lower Mekong River using multi-temporal remote sensing data

This study uses multi-temporal satellite imagery to analyse flow variability in the lower Mekong River during 2015–2025. Results show a marked shift in seasonal flow patterns compared with the historical hydrological cycle. The study proposes a monitoring framework combining remote sensing and ground stations to improve early warning reliability.

Sediment transport changes in the mainstream Mekong following upstream reservoir operations

This article analyses changes in sediment transport along the mainstream Mekong River associated with upstream reservoir operations, using a decade of sampled sediment load data. Findings show a substantial decline in suspended sediment reaching downstream reaches. The article discusses implications for riverbank stability and delta sustainability.
