This research analyses value chain upgrading potential among agro-processing firms in Laos using firm-level survey data. Results indicate that access to quality certification support is a key differentiator between firms able to enter export markets and those confined to domestic sales. The paper offers targeted policy recommendations.

Border checkpoint delays and their effect on cross-border trade costs in Myanmar

This research quantifies how border checkpoint processing delays affect trade costs for exporters and importers operating along Myanmar's land borders. Using shipment tracking data, the study estimates the cost impact of delay and identifies checkpoints where improvements would yield the largest gains.
