Viet Nam has formally welcomed a new cohort of students under the CLMV Scholarship Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year, with students from Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar enrolling at universities across the country.

The welcome ceremony, organised by [Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo Việt Nam], marks another consecutive year the scholarship programme has run, aimed at strengthening human resource ties among the four countries.

Priority fields of study

This year's students are enrolled in fields aligned with CLMV cooperation priorities, ranging from information technology and water resource management to agriculture and business administration.

  • Information technology and digital transformation
  • Water resource and environmental management
  • Agriculture and rural development
  • Business administration and international trade

Host universities said they will provide additional Vietnamese-language support classes and cultural exchange activities to help international students settle in more quickly.

The CLMV Scholarship Programme is regarded as one of the important channels for building a young workforce with deep understanding of regional cooperation.
